About the Role

We are looking for a HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our team!

The HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides ongoing Talent Acquisition and HR services support. They are responsible for ensuring a smooth recruitment operation through timely postings, interviewing and follow ups. They are also responsible for information entered into the HRIS to ensure data integrity and answering employee queries related to all HR aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including employee onboarding;
  • Provide recruitment strategies that ensure our ability to proactively identify and recruit top talent;
  • Perform head hunting research when required;
  • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, providing information on the progress of searches;
  • Collaborate with HR and Hiring Managers to confirm appropriate approvals are in place, and validate job advertisements to ensure roles are marketed to attract top talent
  • Prepare & manage job postings on career sites, LinkedIn, Indeed as well as other relevant posting websites;
  • Act as a resource on provincial legislation across Canada for employment standards and workers compensation;
  • Protect employee and company integrity by keeping sensitive information confidential;
  • Ensure accurate employment related information is recorded in HRIS Dayforce in a timely manner;
  • Ensure proper documentation of employee profiles are available upon request and align with audit requests;
  • Coordinate and answer employee’s questions related to HR policies and practices;
  • Ensure accurate reports are generated & configure reports based on business needs;
  • Participate in HRIS projects as needed (vendor management, benefits, surveys, etc);
  • Conduct monthly internal audits and provide information in external audits, as needed;
  • Grow employee engagement through events & team building.

Requirements

  • Degree or certificate in Human Resources Management , business, or a related field;
  • 1-3 years of related HR experience;
  • Experience executing and delivering full life cycle recruiting activities with proven results;
  • Ability to handle high workloads and competing demands
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Organizational, time management, and project management skills;
  • Ability to anticipate problems and develop innovative plans of action to prevent delays in the workflow
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Accountable and proactive team-player with the ability to work independently;
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, with all levels of employees and management;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Experience with Dayforce, an asset.
  • Retail experience, an asset.
